Based in Auckland, New Zealand we are a full service digital studio.

Gravitate Limited began life in early 2001, when it was launched by founding Directors Andrew Ferguson, John Lennard and Duncan Watt.

The company's early focus was on providing a unique and specialised web publishing service to the visual arts. This happened through the launch of www.artfind.co.nz, and was further advanced with the launch of the Virtual Curator web publishing and cataloguing application a year later.

Over recent years, Gravitate has enjoyed a growing reputation as a provider of high quality Internet services to a wide range of industries.

Gravitate benefits from a strong skill base ready to take on the most challenging technical jobs, while still being nimble enough to ensure that flexibility and creativity are never lost.

Andrew Ferguson

Managing Director

Gravitate Director, Andrew (Harry) Ferguson founded and built Gravitate over the past 11 years. He has extensive experience in the corporate world and a passion for creativity and design. As many happy clients will confirm, Andrew seamlessly blends his business savvy with bespoke creative solutions for online communications.
John Lennard

Technical Director

John is a co-founder of Gravitate and the company’s chief software engineer. With an infatuation for code writing, he is never content to stamp out the same solutions. Rather, he is adamant that there is always an opportunity to do better for clients. He thoroughly enjoys the never ending learning curve the online world provides.
Jessica Desmond

Account Manager

Jessica has been with Gravitate since 2009, fresh from marketing studies at university. Jessica’s strengths as an Account Manager are a power packed combination of creative problem solving with superior interpersonal communication skills. Jessica also takes on a consulting role advising clients on Social Media and Digital Strategy.
James Magness

Developer

Senior Developer James Magness has a passion for the Tech Start-up community and front-end automation. Perhaps influenced by the pace of working in London as the Head of Technical for a large full service digital agency, James doesn’t like wasting time and attacks every problem from multiple directions to find the optimal solution.
Nan Lu

Developer

Our newest recruit Developer Nan Lu is originally from China. He brings with him sound technical expertise and the ability to pick up new technology at great speed. Nan has a talent and passion for interactive game and website development.
Jamie Saint Merat

Design

Scribbling on paper since 1983, professionally Jamie has over 6 years experience in graphic design, writing semantic web-standards HTML as well as embracing cutting-edge flexible and adaptive CSS techniques. Likes to obsess over the finer details to the point of near-insanity.
John Mandawe

Design

Filipino born and Auckland raised, digital designer John has a real flair for both animations and standards compliant HTML. He brings a fresh approach to creating fun, beautiful interfaces.

An artist and graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts Zhoe brings real passion to looking after the Artist community on www.artfind.co.nz and developing engagement between the artists and site visitors.
