  • Lindesay Construction

It was a privelege for us to be able to create a website for the company behind some of the finest homes ever constructed in New Zealand. There is no point describing how magnificent these houses are; you just have to see them.

When we designed the Lindesay Construction website the challenge was how best do you showcase such excellence. We created a site that allows the viewer to spend time exploring the collection of award winning homes in an uninterrupted way.

AIPA is a membership based organisation representing a group of the most talented professional photographers in New Zealand. This site has a dual purpose: it works as a marketing tool, promoting the skills of the members; it also has a full member Intranet for the signed-up photographers to share information and continue their professional development.View the project >
  • Suzuki New Zealand

The Suzuki NZ Ltd website was a major project for Gravitate, working with a large multinational to re-develop their NZ web presence and bring it into line with the latest International Suzuki brand aesthetic. It is a fully dynamic, database driven website, cataloguing all models and services Suzuki NZ offer their customers. There is also a community areas for enhanced user interaction and participation in 'Suzuki Life' activities.View the project >
  • Clever Bastards

This project started with nothing more than an idea, and from that we worked with the company's founder to develop the 'Clever Bastards' brand and build a fun, interactive site. The concept is to showcase the art and design products that have been created by clever New Zealanders. The site focuses as much on the makers as it does the products, so it is quite different from the standard online shop, which is far more dry and utilitarian in how content is presented.

One aspect of this we are particularly proud of is the way we developed a series of visual elements to portray the makers and the products that are for sale. We used silhouettes of individuals, rather than just using names or photos, to create a sense of intrigue. For the products we created a series of category icons to depict the type of work.

Other features include an interactive Flash map of New Zealand, showing the location of the makers, and a "visual site map" where users can explore what is on the site in a visual way, rather than reading a list of names.View the project >
